If the former Bathurst 1000 winner can get on the Great Race podium once more this weekend, his season will have a definite highlight.
In order to do that, Bright feels the Holden Commodore VF he will share with co-driver Andrew Jones needs to have more speed at Mount Panorama.
“It’s been a bit of a tough season. I felt like we started the year really well, we had a couple of top 10s and were qualifying in the top 10 and since probably the fourth round, fifth round, we’ve struggled with that qualifying speed,” he said.
“The enduros aren’t as much about qualifying, we are going into a different part of the season, but we still want to qualify well.”
Bright and Steven Richards came from 15th on the grid when winning at Bathurst in 1998.
