The annual Remembrance Services for district NASHO’s at the Weeroona Aged Care Residence in Cowra at 10am and the Bilyara Retirement Village at 1pm are to be held this year on Thursday, November 10.

The services, which have become eagerly awaited events, are very appreciated by the residents, and all South West Slopes personnel attending them get a pleasant feeling of achievement due to their involvement.
The members of the sub-Branch are being reminded that the normal NSAA monthly meeting cycle has the next meeting scheduled for Sunday, October 16 at the Federation Motor Inn n Young.
It is to begin at 10.30am and will have application forms for the sub-Branch Christmas Party which is to be held on Saturday, December 17.
Last year’s party was such a success that the committee are already receiving inquiries for this year.
On a longer term, the sub-Branch has applied for permission to conduct a National Servicemen’s Memorial Service at the Yass cenotaph in February next year.
This would be the first time they have conducted a service to commemorate the defence protection provided by former Nashos over a turbulent world period extending over 20 years.
It is hoped that many former Nashos will attend and participate in this historic event planned for Yass.
