Thursday night was the start of the Guy Pickering Charity Challenge. Results after the first round were Boof Hero’s three wins (13), 3 G.Macc Attack three wins (13), Bowl Terras three wins (12), Show no Mercy three wins (12), Dirty Money “two” three wins (12), Dirty Money “one” zero wins (9), Slightly Biased zero wins (9), Criterion Hotel zero wins (9), DGF zero wins (8) and Fatbots zero wins (8).
Saturday Jackpot Bowls: G.Trudgett and P.Taylor were the winners with 19. D.Rosen and B.Clark (18), K.Bryant and T.Preston (7) and B.March, J.Nolan, C.Stokell (17).
Club Fours: B Madden (27) defeated D Ward (15).
Two games of minor singles: T.Mulligan defeated A.Hutchison and S.Walsh defeated S.Barnes. The final will be played between S.Walsh and T.Mulligan next weekend, good luck to both players.
Sunday morning bowls had eight players, the winning team R Ward and T Summerfield (15).
November 1, we are holding a Melbourne Cup Mixed Bowls afternoon. Entries must be in by 12.30pm for a 1pm start and afternoon tea will be provided.
Entries have now closed for the mixed pairs championship, competition October 22-23. Draw on notice board at the club.
Presidents' Day at Cootamundra held on Sunday, a combined team from Young and Harden were runners up only losing by one shot.
