The Long Island native, 30, no longer speaks with her familiar New York lilt and has instead gone for an untapped version of possibly Eastern European mixed with maybe British that she has dubbed "Lilohan".

The Mean Girls star's broken English was first picked up when she spoke to reporters on camera at the opening of her new nightclub Lohan in Athens, Greece, last month. Since then, fans have shared the video on social media, in a bid to figure out her accent's origins.

"It's a mixture of most of the languages I can understand or am trying to learn," she told the Daily Mail.

"I've been learning different languages since I was a child. I'm fluent in English and French, can understand Russian and am learning Turkish, Italian and Arabic."

It's not the first time The Parent Trap star has gone through an image overhaul to rid herself of her former party girl reputation.

She has moved to the London, swapped acting for nightclub ownerships; and has become a humanitarian after visiting Syrian refugees in Turkey and offering them an energy drink that ties in with promoting her nightclub.

Mintanine is described as a "blue caffeine lemonade" and "lifestyle drink" that will "electrify your senses" with the tag line: "Blue tastes woohoo."

The troubled former child star may have picked up some of her twang from her Russian businessman ex-fiance, Egor Tarabasov, 23, whom she split from in July after a serious of public rows. She has accused the property mogul of assault after pictures emerged of them in a physical fight. He denies any wrongdoing.
