Last Friday night saw around 50 people attended the opening night of the Cherry Festival Photographic Competition and Exhibition at the Millard Centre in Young.

The opening night and entries attracted a large number of people from all across the state including; Young, Cootamundra, Harden, Cowra, Temora, Millvale, Forbes, Barmedman, West Wyalong, The Rock, Moruya, Sydney and Port Macquarie.
Hennessey Catholic College students also entered several pieces into the competition and exhibition.
Local photographer, Holly Bradford, opened the exhibition with Jude Meads from Sydney the lucky winner of the Will Sibley Memorial Trophy for her Champion Print. Holly Bradford and Kelsey Sibley presented her with her award.
Liam Howard from Young was the winner of the Helen Berridge Memorial Trophy for his Junior Champion Print.
Charlie Eason of Young won first place for the under 18 years section.
The Camera Club would like to take this opportunity to thank it’s exhibition sponsors, entrants and judges, with a special thanks to John Van Rijswijk as well as Susie and Terry McDonell for all of their hard work in organising the exhibition, along with Camera Club members and all of the others who helped.
The exhibition is currently being held at the Millard Centre until December 4. Open daily - 10am to 4pm (except for Sunday December 4 – 10am to 2pm). There is an entry fee of $2 to visit the exhibition.
