The success of these tournaments would not have been possible with sponsorship.
Young Women’s Bowling Club wishes to thank all the sponsors who donated towards prizemoney for the Cherry Festival Ladies Triples and The Cherry Festival Mixed Pairs.
Without these generous local businesses, these very Special Tournaments would not be able to offer the prizemoney they do and attract the numbers of bowlers to the town on this very special occasion in November.
Many of the women who took part in the Cherry Festival Ladies Triples stayed on for the rest of the week and also competed in the Cherry Festival Mixed pairs with husbands or partners.
A total of 96 players took part in the Ladies Triples and 126 players took to the greens in the Mixed Pairs.
These visitors to Young were made to feel welcome and many of them will be back again next year.
Bringing so many visitors to the town each year supports not only the Bowling Club but also the businesses in the town itself.
