NOTORIOUS murderer John Raymond Holschier, who bashed his partner to death with a house brick in 1989, has been locked up again after allegedly breaching conditions of an extended supervision order while living in Wagga.

During a sometimes bizarre appearance in Wagga Local Court via videolink with the Junee Correctional Centre where he is being held following his arrest, 49-year-old Holschier regularly laughed and seemed to brush off the prospect of a two-year sentence if found guilty.
“Two years? I’ve been here 27 years,” Holschier said.
“Righto, whatever.
“Yeah, I’m not guilty your honour.”
In the process of murdering his partner at Chatswood, Deniliquin born and raised Holschier also struck his then 13-month-old daughter with the brick, leaving her with severe brain damage.
Holschier was initially sentenced to life in prison, but it was re-determined in 1998 to 25 years, with 17 years’ non-parole.
He was finally released from jail in September, 2014, close to the expiry of his full murder sentence, but three months later the Supreme Court on an application by the state government made a three-year high-risk violent offender extended supervision order that restricted his freedom.
Police allege Holschier breached the order three times between August 29 and November 24 this year.
They claim Holschier refused to let his Community Corrections supervising officer into his South Parade home, allowed his electronic monitoring device to go flat, resulting in him not being monitored between 7.09pm on November 23 and 8.03am the next day, and failed to give his supervising officer details of his mobile telephone or allow it to be accessed or inspected.
Holschier stood for much of his court appearance and waved his arms around.
“I don’t know why I’m here in jail again, I don’t know what’s going on,” Holschier said.
“I haven’t done a crime.
“How much more do you want from me?
“Give me the other two years then.”
Holschier was upset when he heard his case was being adjourned to January 23.
“When am I going to have a chance to have a Christmas with my mum? She’s 89 years old,” said Holschier, who was banned from seeing his mother by an apprehended violence order in 2010 after allegedly threatening to burn down her house.
Holschier added to his notoriety when he claimed to have fathered two children, born in 2001 and 2002, while in prison.
He was released three times on parole before 2014 and locked up each time for breaching release conditions.
It is not known how long Holschier has lived in Wagga.
