A marathon 13-hour surgery to give a young Australian woman injured in Bali a full facial reconstruction has been classed as a success by doctors.

But the anxious family of Tori Van de Stadt must wait until later on Thursday before her condition is fully known, as she is gradually brought out of an induced coma by doctors at Royal Perth Hospital.
Ms Van de Stadt, 25, and her boyfriend Louis Macindoe, 26, suffered "devastating injuries" after they were flung from their motorbike in a hit-and-run accident in Bali last week.
The Newcastle couple were "left for dead" in a ditch before they were discovered bleeding and unconscious by passing good Samaritans.
While the skin was largely intact, most of the bones in Ms Van de Stadt's face were smashed in the accident. She also suffered spinal injuries and a deep gash to the back of the head.
Ms Van de Stadt's mother, Tracey Priestley, said she went in for surgery at 8am on Wednesday morning and did not come out until late in the evening.
"It was pretty major, they kept calling us throughout the day saying they needed a couple more hours," she said.
"They were really happy with the results. Now the plan is to go in there [Thursday] morning and they will start waking her up.
"There's so many things we still don't know until she wakes up."
Ms Priestley said she had been reassured by the professionalism of the staff at the hospital. Ms Van de Stadt's five older siblings had been left shattered by the accident.
"The nurses and doctors have been doing an amazing job and I know whatever they do, it's going to be the best thing for Tori," she said.
"But my other children have found it really hard. They're struggling. They need someone to give them confidence that it's going to be okay."
A GoFundMe page to raise money for Ms Van de Stadt's recovery has already clocked up more than $66,000 in donations.
Paralympian Kurt Fearnley will speak at a fundraising event – Toast to Tori – at The Lucky Hotel in Newcastle next Tuesday evening.
It will be MC'd by ABC broadcaster Craig Hamilton.
Ms Priestley said she had been inundated with donations for a raffle and silent auction that will be held on the night.
"It sounds like a bit of a cliche but you really see the good in people when something like this happens," she said.
