The Young Hospital Auxiliary has held a very successful Christmas Stall and Raffle, resulting in about $2,000 being raised to buy equipment for the hospital.

President Janice Ward said the stall was loaded with culinary delights created by members: Christmas Puddings, Christmas cakes, slices, biscuits, meringues, jams and chutneys, as well as lavender bags, baby blankets and patchwork needle-holders.

“Christmas Puddings have been a wonderful fund-raiser for the hospital for many years, and it was great to see new members brave enough to cook puddings which live up to the high praise which our puddings have always received,” she said.

“We would especially like to thank our generous donors of raffle goods: Moppity Vineyard, Poppa’s Fudge Factory, The Complete Garden, The Loft, Suzie’s Beady Bits and Bush Boutique, as well as members who also contributed to the six prizes. The Auxiliary also appreciates the community continuing to buy raffle tickets.”
