South West Slopes Cricket League (SWSCL) secretary Kelly Meddings said the league is pushing for 40 teams to compete at this year's tournament.
"If we can achieve that it will make it the biggest ever tournament in its 24th year," she said.
"We are having the Lions club run BBQ's on every ground and we will be raffling signed memorabilia including cricket bats and cricket shirts.
"There are big cash prizes on offer and we have teams from as far as Cairns registered already, it should be a cracker of a tournament."
Young District Cricket Association president Jason Hall said the tournament is great for local cricket.
“The games are six overs each innings, they are quick games and a lot of fun,” he said.
Mr Meddings said teams are able to register eight players under their team nomination fee ($150) with a $5 fee for additional players (up to ten players).
