Ms Power represented Michael Ward who was absent in front of Magistrate Peter Dare in Young Local Court on Tuesday January 10, 2017.
Ms Power was instructed by her client to enter a plea of not guilty and requested an adjournment.
“In all my years I think I’ve only heard one of that one and that was in Cowra,” Magistrate Dare said in regards to the charges.
Magistrate Dare granted the licencee an adjournment and has excused the defendant from appearing when the matter will be heard again in Young Local Court on February 21, 2017.
In New South Wales it is an offense to sell or supply alcohol to any person under the age of 18.
The maximum penalty for selling alcohol to a minor is $11,000 or 12 months prison (or both). The maximum penalty for supplying alcohol to a minor is $11,000 or 12 months prison (or both).
