Data showed that during semester one last year Hennessy Catholic College had a higher attendance percentage than Young High School and that Young Public School had the best overall attendance in Semester one compared to the rest of the primary school’s and high schools in Young.

Young North Public School had the best Indigenous attendance with a 93 percent attendance rate.

Young schools were compared with schools in Grenfell, Forbes and Parkes and the results are great for the town. So how did the schools in Young stack up with the other four towns?

Young Public School tied in second on the list with Grenfell Public School and St Joseph’s Grenfell. 

Young Public School came in at a 94 percent attendance rating compared to Young North Public School, Hennessy Catholic College and St Mary’s Primary School Young on 93 percent who tied with four other schools in third.

Young High School came in fifth on the list that included a total of 17 schools from across the four towns.

Though Young High School was further down the list there were two other schools who ranked lower across the four towns.

                                                                                                                                                                        The results from the My School website show that as a whole the four schools are doing very well in attendance with all of the results from across the area in the 80 - 100 percent range.
