The decision was made at the beginning of the season to divide the grades at the Christmas break based on performance and ladder positions.
League Secretary Kelly Meddings said this opened up further sponsorship opportunities for local businesses.
“By splitting the divisions we were able to introduce another premiership for Division three and we were lucky enough to have Blooms Chemist sign on for a two-year sponsorship, they join our existing major sponsors from last season in Delta Agribusiness and Dunk Insurance,” she said.
Miss Meddings said the league were also pleased to announce the implementation of the Blooms Chemist Champion Under 25 Player Scholarship.
“This will be a perpetual trophy awarded to the best performing under 25's player overall in the competition based on their MyCricket results,” she said.
“This is a massive incentive for the younger players in the competition to work hard on their craft and stay in the game.
“The scholarship is valued at $500 and also includes an opportunity for the player to take a position playing grade cricket in Sydney.”
