Swimming Club members and participants flocked in droves to the pool for Friday night’s swim club, rested, tanned and relaxed from holidays.

The Club saw some of their senior swimmers set the pace on the night with the over 40’s club pulling out personal bests as they showed the young guns how it's done in the pool. According to those in attendance on the night Flea was on fire on the microphone and the Maltese Falcon blew that whistle in true official style.
In what could possibly be a Young Swimming Club record, there was only one call out for timekeepers – Club officials are checking that statistic for accuracy.
Highest point scorers on the night :
Individual Medley - Max Shea, Jaxon Greenaway, Hugo Davidson, Poppy Hall, Fraser Johnson, Isabella Turner, Kadence Hardy, Sebastian Stratford, Harry Waugh and Imogen Noakes.
Butterfly - Isabelle Holz, Kirsten Apps, Genevieve McLelland, Fraser Johnson, Brock Sing, Ella Powderly and Riley Burgess.
Backstroke - Max Shea, Elizabeth Bigwood, Brock Sing and Imogen Noakes.
Freestyle - Elyse Shea, Kirsten Apps, Hugo Davidson, Stephanie Clark, Poppy Hall, Louis Clark, Brock Sing, Sarah Dillon, Emily Dillon, Riley Burgess, Oliver Burgess, Sean Thomson, Abbey Hall and Liam Wymer.
This Friday will be Young Swimming Club’s last club night before the championships start. Barbecue duty for the night will be the McAlister and McCann families with the raffle to be donated by Addy & Jeffo Nuthall along with Emma & Ben Shipp.
Cootamundra carnival wrap up
Young Swimming Club had was heavily supported with a large number of swimmers beating their own personal bests on the day. The Under 12 boys and girls relay teams won trophies thanks to the cheering from the sidelines. Wagga’s swimming carnival is next on the Club’s agenda with entry forms available online.
