Kloss was largely off limits thanks to a horde of IMG management minders surrounding her in case anyone dared to ask about her ties to US President Donald Trump, why she didn't join her boyfriend Joshua Kushner (brother of Jared Kushner, who is married to Ivanka Trump and now White House advisor) for the women's march in Washington DC or her best friend, Taylor Swift.

Arrivals began to filter through on the black carpet from 7pm on the forecourt of St Mary's Cathedral, Sydney, but it wasn't until almost an hour later when the church bells began to chime to mark the beginning of the show that Worthington arrived with celebrity agent, Annie Kelly.

"She's finally here," a hush went out amongst gathered media once the Cronulla local, who is married to Avatar actor Sam Worthington, 40, was spotted in a mint green Celine dress and orange fur Fendi heels.

The 29-year-old, who gave birth to her second son three months ago (his name has yet to be revealed), opened up to Fairfax Media about motherhood.

"It's amazing, two children under two definitely keeps us busy, but it's the most rewarding thing ever," she said.

Worthington flew home for just 72 hours and was spotted in meetings with Tiffany & Co, Dior, and her own line of tanning products.

"It's been a really successful trip from a business perspective... Australia is a really important market for The Base and we've got some really exciting things happening… so it's been great to be here to finalise it all," she added.

After the show she dined at Bar Machiavelli, Rushcutters Bay, with Kelly, Victoria's Secret model Bridget Malcolm, and Jesinta Franklin (nee Campbell).

You would have forgiven Montana Cox for trying to dodge journalists after the former Australia's Next Top Model winner was dropped as DJs ambassador last year and replaced by Franklin.

But revenge is a dish best served cold, and Cox, 23, rocked up as if she was about to be reunited with an ex in an itsy bitsy, maroon mini-dress and on the arm of one of the department store's most beloved designers, Alice McCall.

"It's a bit short, but there will be no bending over tonight," she laughed.

When asked if she felt "a bit weird" to be at the show as a guest after three years walking the runway, she said: "Not at all. I'm still really close with the DJs family. It'll be really nice to watch and I can sit down and have a glass of champagne."

Laughing again, she swore she would fight the urge to jump up and start walking alongside Kloss and her comrades, Franklin, Jessica Gomes and Jason Dundas.

The third-highest paid model in the world might have been about to stomp the runway, but on the black carpet Studio 10's Sarah Harris stole the show in a skintight, grey, Iris and Ink, leather dress.

"I've two pairs of Spanx on underneath," she laughed. "My son is 13 months now, I've done it slowly. There is no cheat, it's just exercise and eating well."

The refreshingly open Channel Ten Shark Tank host said she and her husband were thinking about adding to their brood, but she wants to be more prepared than last time.

"Pregnancy is quite hard on your body in terms of your pelvic floor and all of that. You've got to be strong, so I've just gone back to pilates again to try and get my body strong because he was a whopper of a baby and to carry it around and push it out, you need to be tough.

"I don't think I was well prepared last time, but honestly, he's changed my life, he is the best thing that has ever happened to me."

Elsewhere, a Versace-clad Adam Goodes and Natalie Croker in Kit X seemed deep in married bliss as the DJs ambassador and retired Sydney Swans captain wiped raindrops from his new wife's shoulders.

The notoriously private pair, who recently honeymooned in Hawaii, were married in front of just family last year, but later held a shindig to celebrate with friends.

"It was not A super secret wedding," Croker explained. "The way we have conducted our relationship in our own way is the way we decided to have our wedding.

"We have a strong and supportive friendship group and wider friendship group so we did celebrate with them two months later but the ceremony was family only."

When asked how married life was going so far? Goodes gushed: "It's great, it's really good. Nothing to complain about."
