With the Club Championships due in early March it was gratifying to see a few extra golfers out sharpening their game with the 'champs' just around the corner.

ON SUNDAY 78 players participated in the final round of the Scott Fuller teams event.
This competition is organised by the South West Golf Association in conjunction with the affiliated golf clubs. It is played in two groups.
Group one was Cootamundra, Temora and Tumut while we are in group two comprising Young, Harden and Gundagai. This year the overall winner of the competition was Cootamundra.
There was an individual competition for each team. For Young Stuart and Jake Norton won with 49 points from Brian Christie and Ron Flynn on 44 pts. Third was Phil Mitchell and Penny Greaves also on 44 pts. Simon Murray and Peter Campbell were next on 43 pts. Craig Henman and Mat Minehan were best for Harden followed by Kevin Hoppe and Ron Page. Tim Beveridge and Laurie Monaghan were third. Mick Franklin and Kyle Brooks were best for Gundagai followed by Jim and Jill Graham. Nearest the pin winners were Liz Harding, Gus Stinson and David Hamblin.
Next Saturdays event is a single stableford sponsored by Peter Eldridge and Bobby Brown. Sundays event will be medley ball sweepstakes.
The 000 Emergency Charity golf day has been moved forward to Friday February 17 as an Ambrose event and nominations are now open in the pro shop. All funds raised are put back into our local community.
A recent innovation is the 'Super Sunday Social Golf' opportunity whereby a group of four players can play 9 or 18 holes for just $15 per player from 1 pm. Carts and clubs available phone the pro shop.
