Saturday’s record heat and lightning strikes

The NSW Rural Fire Service were kept busy on Saturday evening with lightning strikes causing several fires throughout the Hilltops region.

NSW RFS had three fires over the weekend in Grogan, The Black Range and Wallendbeen. The fire in Grogan burnt 181 ha, a tree in the Black Ranges caught fire and burnt 1 ha and the fire in Wallendbeen burnt 1 ha.
