When nature strikes: Tubbul aftermath

Tubbul near Young was hit by a vicious and sudden storm that brought down trees and caused serious damage to property last Saturday.

Saturday afternoon when the rest of the region was breathing a sigh of relief over the cool southerly change Tubbul braced themselves as a storm ripped through the area.

Residents have reported augers thrown into paddocks, roofs torn off, fences ripped up and trees fell killing working animals.

There was also a report that one house had a window break, the bed turned over and the doona found in the middle of a field.

On Monday Essential Energy spent most of the day repairing damage to the electricity supply that had been caused by the storm.
