A 39-year-old Cowra man was convicted and fined $300 for entering a premises without a lawful excuse by Magistrate Peter Dare in Young Local Court.

Peter Frazer of Boorowa Rd, Cowra represented himself in front of Magistrate Dare.
“No disrespect to the court your Honor, I’m capable myself.” Frazer said before he entered a guilty plea to the charges.
Magistrate Dare read over the fact sheet before he asked Frazer if he had anything to say.
“Not much your Honor,” Frazer said.
“I was actually trying to get someone out of the property. Police didn’t know about the incident until I told them about it. No excuses, you hang around with [sic] and you pay the consequences,” Frazer said
Frazer claimed that he had taken a young man to Koorawatha for a drive because the young man was affected by drugs.
“I’m not as green as I am cabbage looking, I think you might be pulling the wool over my eyes,” Magistrate Dare said.
Police facts said at about 11.40 pm November 25 a Koorawatha resident that lived by themselve woke for unknown reasons and saw a torch light coming from the living area of the house.
The resident heard footsteps inside the house shortly after they heard the sound of the rear door open.
The resident called police and saw the previously locked backdoor open, as was the kitchen window with the screen removed.
Police said there had been a similar incident at a nearby residence earlier that evening.
About 2.15 pm on Thursday December 1, police attended a residence known to Frazer who presented himself to police before he was arrested for unrelated offences and taken to Cowra Police Station.
Police said during an official interview Frazer made a full admission to attending Koorawatha with a friend, but Frazer would not disclose the name of his friend.
According to police, Frazer stated he saw his friend jump a fence and enter a yard, Frazer left and returned a short time later looking for his friend.
Frazer said he entered the victim’s yard and walked around the house before he found an open window.
“I jumped through the [sic] window, I saw my mate running at me. I tried to open a door but it was locked so I jumped out the same window. I then pulled my mate out and we [sic] bolted,” Frazer said according to police.
