According to Hilltops Council the $8.1 million upgrade of GrainCorp’s grain receival and train loading facility at Cunningar will deliver significant benefits to the region and is not only backed by the local community but the Australian Government and Hilltops Council.
The multi-million-dollar upgrade was previously announced in December 2015 as part of the Australian Government’s National Stronger Regions Fund (NSRF).
“We are excited to start work to ensure we can take full advantage of the upgraded facility for next harvest,” GrainCorp’s Regional Manager for Southern New South Wales Sarah Roche said.
“Safety is our number one priority so we ask members of the public to stay well clear of the area.
“We will keep the community and local growers informed of the progress of the major work,” Ms Roche said.
