The Murringo Creek runs right behind the school grounds and is a beautiful spot for fishing and swimming.
As a part of their lessons they have created a survey on Survey Monkey, to see how the local community uses the creek and surroundings. The survey can be accessed at – https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZDZKSQM.
The students are also holding a Clean Up Australia Day event on Sunday March 5 are are looking for volunteers who are willing to come along and join them in helping to clean up the Murringo Creek.
To register to help on Clean Up Australia Day go to http://www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au/Murringo%20Creek or just turn up to Murringo Public School at 9 am on the day.
Bring along gloves and some tin snips or wire cutters and assist the children with their mission to clean up their creek.
