The Show Horse Council of Victoria - Northern Victoria and Border District Sub-committee held their annual Battle of the Borders show at Albury – Wodonga Equestrian Centre last weekend with five riders from Young cleaning up in the ring.

Elly Sabidussi and her mount Marbuck Tuqiri came away with Top Ten Child’s Hunter Hack and Elly was Runner Up rider 12 - 15 years qualifying her a spot in the Grand National 2018.
Tori Wall and Musk Park Picasso had a great show coming away with Top Ten rider 15 – 17 years, Top Ten Small Open Show Hack and Runner Up Child’s Open Show Hack.
Tracie and Tahlia Wells had a super show at the Battle of the Borders on the weekend. Tahlia placed 3rd in the rider 17 – 21 years and was runner up with her mount Asman in the Large Hack.
Tracie Wells won the rider over 30 years, Runner up in the Laura Berben memorial and won the Open Small Hack.
Tracie and her horse Showman won the same two events in Albury last year. Out of four Grand National qualifying classes entered Tracie and Tahlia qualified in three of them.
Pheobe Clifton won the rider 12 – 15 years, in Clifton’s third Grand National Qualifying show and those in attendance agree that she put in a super effort riding Colandra Park Miss Mika. Pheobe has only owned the mare for a year. Pheobe also placed 4th in the preliminary Show Hunter Galloway and top 10 in the Open Show Hunter Galloway. Pheobe will be competing in her first Sydney Royal this year.
