Round one of the championship was played by 79 participants on Saturday in conjunction with the March Monthly Medal sponsored by Keith Simmons Engineering.

The championships are sponsored by the south West Slopes Credit Union.
The medal winners were Nick Bush in A grade, Bailey Scott-Miller in B grade and Max Gilbert won C grade. The Elite scratch winners were Joel Shields, Bailey Scott-Miller and Max Gilbert. The Elegant Timber Shutters and Blinds putting comp winners were James French, Wayne Honeman and Max Gilbert.
The Young /detailing Services NTP winners were James French and Steve Dewar. The Keith Simmons Engineering NTP winners were Bill Oliver, Rob Flynn and Darren O'Brien. Konah Miller won the Terry Bros Carpet Court secret birdie hole and the Ian Page Bricklaying card draw was not won.
Sunday 69 players hit off the second round of the championships in a handicap event held in conjunction sponsored by David Martens, Greg Grounds and Greg Murray.
Simon Oakes won A grade on 68 net on a count back. In B grade Col Blizzard won with 67 nett. Peter Eldridge won C grade on 68 nett. There were 17 balls in the ball comp and they went down to 73 nett on a count back.
The championships after 36 holes has Joel Shields as the A Grade leader.
In the 72 hole handicap in A grade Nick Bush on 134 nett leads. In the B grade championship Bailey Scott Miller leads on 165.

In the C grade championship Geoff Connelly is in the lead.
In their 72 hole handicap event Peter Eldridge leads.
The eight leading scratch scores in each grade will play in a seeded draw next Saturday.
There will be a handicap event on conjunction with Saturday’s event sponsored by Max Gilbert, John Rolfe and Garry Nicolls. On Sunday there will be a handicap sponsored by Brian Page, Ken Smith and Wayne Hewson.
We hope all players will continue to support the event and play next weekend and it’s not too late to have a crack at the championships.
All golfers who are members of the Services Club are requested to attend the special meeting at the Services club 7 pm this Wednesday and vote to support the proposed amalgamation of the the two clubs.
