Local businessman Adrian Capra and the Hilltops Suicide Prevention Network (HSPN) have joined together to fight the scourge of suicide in the region.

Capra said he was upset by the amount of suicide’s that have occurred recently and wanted to do something about it.
“We released a special blend of coffee specifically for an RU OK day that we held at the Art of espresso and we are donating 100 percent of the proceeds from the sales of that blend to the Hilltops Suicide Prevention Network,” he said. “We raised $1200 on the day, it was an amazingly good day. “The money will go towards a suicide prevention program they will run, it is personal for me because I have lost mates and cousins to suicide and I like the idea of getting a program in the bush that will give information to young people especially that might be helpful.”
HSPN Chair Eris Gleeson said they aim to break down the barriers and stigma associated with discussing mental health and related issues.
