This year’s Rooster year has also fallen on a fire year which is a rare combination – last seen in 1957.
The Rooster is known to be a proud, confident, hardworking and punctual animal and those born this year will enjoy those traits. Combine those traits with the warmth and excitement of fire and an enterprising and successful year could eventuate for hard workers.
However, the conflict between the metal element of the rooster and the fire of the year may mean an unharmonious year ahead for many. 2017 is predicted to be somewhat more peaceful than 2016. The rooster’s fire is yin (the passive female principle of the universe), while the monkey’s fire was yang (the active male principle).
If you are a Rooster though, the news is not good. Rooster years are unlucky for those born in the year of the Rooster.
