Chris Kanck, a horticulturist who channelled his “crush on Poison Ivy” with an out-of-the-ordinary outfit at the 2016 Gold Cup, resurfaced for some “quality” local produce.
Wearing yet another eye-grabbing outfit, Mr Kanck vowed to ride out the entire festival and party well beyond midnight.
“Of course I’m going to make the most of it,” he told The Daily Advertiser.
“Food and Wine Festivals don’t come to Wagga every day do they.”
He said he “scaled back” his outfit for the Food and Wine Festival so he could focus on eating, drinking and enjoying himself.
“I decided to give the wardrobe a rest for today,” Mr Kanck said.
“I’m not into fashion by any means but I just enjoy dressing up because it’s a bit of fun and quite funny.
“That doesn’t mean I won’t be having a big night.”
Connor Willow, another costume guru, sported a white jacket and yellow casual shirt to the event.
“It probably could have been better weather for it,” he said.
“It just makes sense to spice things up and be a little bit adventurous on these kind of days.”
