Next year’s program
Next year’s program for Young Golf Club starts next weekend.
Program books will be available from the pro-shop and clubhouse before next Saturday.
“Thanks to Kim Watson for his continued sponsorship of the program book,” Bill Karney said.
“Thanks also to our may members who have put their hand up to sponsor an event in the coming 12 months.”
Young Golf Club asks all players be aware that the course is continually being sprayed with all sorts of treatments. The Young Golf Club asks players to make sure they are careful when cleaning their golf balls and they wash their hands after they finish their round.
Matchplay Championships
Most matches have been played in the matchplay championship.
For those who have not played, they have until next Sunday and player’s co-operation would be appreciated.
Annual General Meeting
“Cannot let you know when our annual meeting will be held but it should not be too far away,” Bill Karney said.
Young Golf Club still needs to fill a committee of nine so the club asks everyone please give this matter consideration.
“I understand that some of the current board members will not be seeking re-election,” Bill Karney said.
“Many of our members have much to give to the club, so how about giving this matter your consideration.”
Gleneagle function centre
“Don't forget the Gleneagle function centre at the golf club is still the best social venue in town and we are taking bookings up to two years ahead,” Bill Karney said.
