According to the website www.lifehacker.com.au daylight saving time does more harm than good.
“This semiannual ritual shifts our rhythms and temporarily makes us groggy at times when we normally feel alert,” the website said.
“The practice of resetting clocks is not designed for farmers, whose plows follow the sun regardless of what time clocks say it is.”
In Australia, Daylight saving is observed in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, and the Australian Capital Territory.
Yet Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia do not practice daylight savings.
With so many states not taking part in daylight saving time it broaches the subject of if there is any real benefit of daylight saving in Australia.
