Senior Fours win against Boorowa Rec Club

Young Women’s Bowling Club played in the finals of the South West District Open Fours and Senior Fours at Harden Bowling Club last Tuesday.

“It was a perfect day and there were some very exciting games played,” Young Women’s Bowling Club’s Julie Alavoine said.

In the Senior Fours semi-final Young (Judith Mulligan, Heather Bailey, Margaret Gailey and Elsie Hines) won against Boorowa Recreation Club 25-12.

In the Open Fours semi-finals Young (Leonie Martin, Kate Cooper, Margo Parker and Therese Rhul) lost to Harden 20-16.

Young (Jill Rosen, Sheila Traynor, Judy Watson and Margaret Glasheen) won against Grenfell 21-16.

In the Open Fours final Young played Harden with Young winning 19-16.

The Senior Fours finals saw Young lose to Cootamundra Country Club who won by a point.
