Nick Hall then got the boys back on track scoring which made the score 26-4 then a a try to Tom Jenkins with Jacob Lucas converting to make the score 32-4. Temora scored a late try to make the final score 32-10. Players player was Jack Staff. Reserve Grade: Young’s Reserve grade’s winning run came to an end on the weekend at the hands of the Temora Dragons to the tune of 20 points to 12. The game started hard and after only nine minutes in Young was dealt a huge blow with Halfback Matt Murray taken from the field with suspected concussion. Temora returned to the field in the second half the fresher of the two and posted another try and conversion after only seven minutes. Ten minutes later they were in again under the posts and Young was up against an 18 to nil score line. Young’s didn’t give up and through some clever work up the middle by hooker Rob Plain a rampaging Alex Slavin slammed the ball down under the posts for their first try. A classic dummy half try to Rob Plain and conversion to Young with only 40 seconds to go in the game made the score a little bit more respectable but it was too little too late. The Reggie’s start a hard run against Brothers, Albury and Tumut in the next few weeks and will have to improve in attack and defence if they are to be a real threat this season. – Cameron Jones.
