Tigers feast on injured Burrangong Bears

The Burrangong  Bears fought hard against the Canowindra Tigers last weekend but injuries to key players left them easy prey for a hungry Tigers team.

Captain/Coach Matt Longhurst said the Bears played one man short for most of the game and fought manfully in defence.

“The Tigers had a great deal of time with a one-man overlap and our defence was great considering most of their tries were scored out wide off a couple of kicks,” he said. “A huge thanks to Mick Hudson and to Harry Warrick who was outstanding in his first game for the Bears.”
