Young District Medical Centre has a couple of new faces it has welcomed to Young. There are two new doctors, Dr Madhu and Dr Natasha and new practice manager Michelle Ford.

Doctor Madhu Mahadevan
Dr Madhu Mahadevan (Dr Madhu) joined the dynamic team of doctors and staff at Young and District Medical Centre in February 2017. Dr Madhu has previously worked in hospitals and clinics in Tasmania, Sydney and Wagga Wagga over the past eight years and has special interests in chronic disease management, men’s health as well as occupational medicine and Workcover cases. Dr Madhu is currently working towards his Fellowship in General Practice with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Madhu will be working at the Young District Hospital in addition to his work at Young and District Medical Centre. Dr Madhu will become a familiar face around both the centre and the hospital from July.
Doctor Natasha Ajani
Dr Natasha Ajani (Dr Natasha) started working at Young District Medical Centre in April 2017. Dr Natasha has completed her post graduate in diabetology from the John’s Hopkins University, School of Medicine and is currently working towards her Diploma in Child Health. Dr Natasha has worked in public hospitals across NSW and ACT and has special interests in woman’s health and chronic diseases. Natasha will also be working at the Mercy Care Centre in addition to her normal hours at Young and District Medical Centre.
New practice manager Michelle Ford
Michelle Ford is the new Practice Manager at the Young District Medical Centre, taking over the role from David Kay who recently retired. Michelle started at the end of February this year and is from Canberra. Michelle moved to Young in July last year.
The Practice will be gaining a new Registrar in August this year bringing doctor numbers up to 11. Ms Ford said this is a fantastic result for the community in Young and the surrounding district.
