Library Manager Janice Ottey said Ankers received a warm reception for her presentation.
"Her book is a collection of autobiographical stories of women as they navigate their way through their 50s and beyond and her stories were inspirational, frank and uplifting and went over well with the audience," she said.
"All the women in the book recounted their stories with humour, insight and self-deprecation, demonstrating their understated strength and resilience.
"Local businesswoman Rhonda Daly was one of those featured in the book, and she engaged the audience with her life history, overcoming health issues and discovering a resilience to make positive changes resulting in the establishment of a successful business venture."
Ankers’ next book will focus on men over 50. The book “Feisty, fabulous and 50 plus” is available for loan from the Young library.
