Kids and adults alike were interested and intrigued by the displays and demonstrations that the Young Fire and Rescue squad put on throughout the day.
Despite the rain on Friday night the sun was shining on Saturday morning allowing the community to find out what it takes to be a part of the New South Wales Fire and Rescue unit.
With the fire trucks out and plenty of fresh donuts, coffee, a sausage sizzle and jumping castle on top of the rescue demonstrations and much more there was plenty to entertain the whole family.
The station in Young holds an open day every year to allow the community to experience and understand what it is that our local station do.
