There was a good field of players on the course during Saturday’s play with 21 participants in the event.
Helen Spencer was the overall winner in division one on a total of 36 points. Penny Greaves also on 36 points was the winner of division two. Division three was won by Pammie McCloy with the best score in her division on the day of 39 points.
Ball Competition winners on Saturday were Pammie McCloy ( 39), Tilla Davis (37), Helen Spencer (36), Penny Greaves (36), Larraine Nicolls (35) and Liz Harding (32).
The Elegant Timber Shutters and Blinds Nearest to the Pin on the 7th hole was won by Tilla Davis.
The Keith Simmons Engineering drive and chip on the 13th hole was not won on Saturday.
Anzac Day event
Young Golf Club held its rescheduled Anzac Day event with a number of ladies taking advantage and participating in the competition.
Sandy Pronk was named the winner on the day with 36 points, Marie Inwood came in closely in second with 35 points and Liz Harding filled third spot with 34 points.
Ladies Golf would like to say thank you to Rick Oliver and Ian Tierney for providing the trophies for the day.
Wednesday event
There was a slightly smaller than usual field for Wednesday’s single stableford event with a number of ladies away representing Young Golf Club at tournaments in Cowra and Tumbarumba.
The single stableford’s results were not available.
The medal round which was scheduled for Wednesday will now be played on Wednesday June 28.
Coming up this week
This weekend the Young Golf Club will be holding a single stableford on Saturday and the Temora tournament will be held on Sunday.
The Temora event will be a 4BBB stableford.
Next Wednesday Young will be taking two teams to the South West Ladies Golf Association (SWLGA) Scratch Teams event at Ariah Park and we wish those players all the best.
At Young that day the ladies will participate in the professional competition.
