The Young Heritage Car Club hosted car enthusiasts from across the nation as they gathered at the Services Club for the 50th anniversary of the Mark 2 Cortina last week.
Young's David and Christine Laybutt stood out from the crowd with their gleaming wild violet Cortina.
"It is a such a pleasure to see all of these classic cars gathered in Young and we are looking forward to the drive through the countryside to celebrate these great cars," David Laybutt said.
Cortina car enthusiasts from across Australia gathered in Young on their way to the Hume Weir for a big car meet.
Hunter British Ford Group's David Fotherinhham said a wide variety of cars stopped off in Young and enjoyed the town's hospitality.
"Our group came from Newcastle, but we also had Cortina's from Sydney, Canberra and from as far away as Queensland join us on this trip," he said.
"The rally had almost 200 cars pass through Young on their way to the Hume Weir."
