The only two sides eligible to contest the Zone eight Grade two Finals – Young and Temora – played at Cootamundra Ex–Services on Saturday with several lead changes making for an exciting contest.

Zone 8 Grade 7 Pennant Finals
The Young Bowling Club hosted the Zone 8 Grade 7 Pennant Finals over the weekend.
The visiting players expressed their appreciation of the playing conditions and the hospitality offered by the club.
On Saturday Temora defeated Adelong 88–32 and Yenda defeated Henty 85–48.
The semi–finals on Sunday morning saw both winning teams continue their good form with Temora defeating Stockinbingal 71–48 and Yenda defeating Wagga Rules 66-55.
In the final Yenda proved too strong for Temora winning all three rinks to record a 63–41 victory.
Yenda will represent Zone 8 in the State Finals at Engadine in August.
Saturday Club play
Club play on Saturday afternoon saw 20 players involved.
Both semi–finals of the Minor Pairs saw clear–cut wins with Ted Loader and Garry Trudgett defeating Colin Parker and Peter Berry 30–13 and Ian Gailey and Greg Woods defeating Grant Fuller and Mark Brownlie 27–12.
The two winning teams will contest the final of this event on Saturday.
David Donges and Harold Anderson took out the Penrose Funerals sponsored vouchers when they won their game by 11 shots.
Albert Carter and Tom Preston won their game by 10 shots and Michael Webb and Stewart Taylor won their game by 4 shots.
Thursday play
Despite the cool conditions on Thursday there were 26 players on the green.
Steve Walsh and Stewart Taylor won their game by 21 shots to take out the vouchers for the day.
Club Pairs final this Saturday
The final of the Club Pairs will be played on Saturday with Damien Miller and David Quigley opposed to Geoff Holt and Graeme Edgerton in what should be a very good match.
The club will hold its Biggest Morning Tea on Wednesday from 10 am.
All members and visitors are invited to attend this charity function that raises money for the Cancer Council.
