Mr Cockburn and Mr Furner will be participating in the Redneck Rally that will see all funds raised going towards helping local families and children who are fighting cancer and other life threatening illnesses. 

The men will be driving in the rally as a part of the Cherry City Hillbillies team.

The Riverina Redneck Car Rally is being held next year to raise money for Country Hope.

The rally will start at Hillston on the March 5, 2018 and finish at Darlington Point on March 9, 2018 with participants driving a total of 2,500 km.

Country Hope offers regional services that ensures locally diagnosed children and their families are able to benefit from ongoing practical, financial and emotional support.

The organisation also offers the opportunity for families and children to build friendships and bonds with other local children, families, carers and medical staff not only throughout treatment but afterwards as well.

According to a Country Hope spokesperson the organisation believes that all children diagnosed with cancer and life threatening illnesses deserve to have access to the benefits received through its special programs, allowing them to have the same opportunities that those in the city would.

The spokesperson said by providing these programs Country Hope aims to improve the quality of life of children diagnosed with cancer or life threatening illnesses in southern New South Wales and north-eastern Victoria, by providing specialised support and programs that cater for the specific needs of our country children and their families.
