Young Golf Club’s scratch pennant team of James French, Joel Shields, Rick Oliver, Phillip Oliver and Simon Oakes defeated Cootamundra in Young on Sunday in the South-West pennant series. The handicap pennant team traveled to Gundagai over the weekend but were unfortunately beaten 4 matches to 1.

On Saturday Young Golf Club played a single stableford which was won by Sam Langford and his continued good form who won the event with 40 points. The event sponsored by Gavin Marshall and Craig Watson had Col Blizzard coming in on second on 38 points and Mark Crutcher in third on a countback with 37 points. There was also a blind draw four ball aggregate stableford sponsored by Carmello’s Pizza with Steve May and Sam Langford walking away with the win.
During last week’s pro comp Allan Moore hit a hole-in-one on the 17th for which the club congratulated him.
Next Saturday there will be a two person ambrose sponsored by Steve Dewar and Ian Broderick with special rules in place. A copy of these will be available from the pro-shop prior to tee-off. Sunday medley will be sponsored by Pizza Hut.
