The women’s teams are set to hit off from 10 am and the men’s game will follow at 11.30 am.

There will be a free barbecue for players and supporters and the canteen will be open selling drinks.

After the long weekend break hockey resumed in Young last week with the Blues, Red Backs and Cougars all fully refreshed and coming home with convincing wins over their opponents.

Blues vs DTS

With DTS low on players the Blues were the stronger side throughout the match. 

The Blues scored eight unanswered goals to solidify their win Kyle McGovern (2), Angela Noon (2), Hope Smith (2), Paul Robinson (1) and Michael Adams (1).

Red Backs vs Bears

The Red Backs found the back of the next six times against a scoreless Bears side with Brendan Sheppard from the Red Backs and Janice Dunk from the Bears the standout players throughout the game.

Goals went to Geoff Palmer (1), Kerri Palmer (1), Brendan Sheppard (1) and Luke Cosgrove (3).

Cougars vs Penguins

Cougars played a strong game against the Penguins with Morgan Kenny slotting two goals, Brady Kenny and Loren Wilkinson each hitting a single against Tahlia Gruber’s single goal for the Penguins. The Cougars side were solid in both attack and defence throughout the match.
