Local winery Moppity Vineyards are seeking to continue their success this year after being one of the most awarded wineries in the country over the last year.
Moppity Vineyards owner Jason Brown said that their reds are really strong this year as is their Escallier Shiraz which won the Great Australian Shiraz challenge last year.
“The Hilltops is an emerging region and has been very successful with traditional varieties and lately we’ve been having success with new and alternative varieties, this year should be a really good for the Hilltops,” he said.
Entries for the wine shows close at the end of July with the judging taking place on September 5, 6 and 7 in Griffith New South Wales.
