Cootamundra LAC Acting Inspector Kristin Marshall said Police stopped a male about 12:45pm last Friday on Demondrille St, Young.
“We stopped a male on Friday morning last week who was in possession of a number of pillows, blankets and other property which Police alleged did not belong to him,” she said.
“Police put out a call through the Young Witness’ social media channel for help in identifying the property that we had seized.
“A member of the public contacted Police at about 4.30pm on Friday and identified the missing property as belonging to her.”
Acting Inspector Marshall said the man was charged with two offences; break and enter house and steal and goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen.
The man was refused bail and will appear for sentencing at Young local court on July 12.
