The opening race of the evening is set down for 5:27 pm with a nine race field competing over the 1,720 metre journey for a total prize of $5,100.

The in form Luke Primmer trained Stella Regina looks the winner following some good form over recent weeks with two wins and three minor placings.

Hardest to beat include the Bathurst trained Ticket Outa Here from gate four and back marker Spanish Lustre for Nathan Hurst.

Race two will be keenly contested with last start Young winner Huge Attitude looking to make it two in a row for Michael Hawke who trains the pacer in the national capital.

Challenges should come from Give Me Fifty who has won at her last two starts, Black Poles for Emma Turnbull and Jet On Ice who has won two from five.

Race three is a more tricky affair with special conditions applying for the 1,720 metre race.

Pole marker My Dolly Diva was supported here last week when finishing second and is better drawn here for Neil Day.

Nathan Hurst will take the drive behind Amazing Milly while Miss Fifi will be improved following her last start third here last week and could give a bold showing from a wide gate.

Another special race with conditions to suit horses currently in work is the fourth on the program and an opportunity for Amanda Turnbull to collect the cash over the 1,720 metres with Hidden Courage from a wide gate.

Again the form around this pacer is very good with two wins and three placing from five starts and win number three should be forthcoming ahead of Whos Driving who has been a bridesmaid at his latest outings for Neil Day.

The Canberra trained Poco Aces will be thereabouts with Scott Osmond likely to challenge for the lead in the early part.

Race conditions in race five are broadened even more with recent unplaced runners over their previous five starts being catered for.

A tricky race to say the least with Boundtobewild a definite rough chance from gate two.

Alisons Jet, Thanku Thanku could bounce back here under the guidance of Todd Day while there could be money for Miami Ruler at long odds if the race is run to suit.

Conditions could be a little colder as we approach race six and it would be nice to find a winner to warm or hearts.

Way Up ran an honest race here last week and secured a tight win and could make it two in a row.

Dangers are Only At Night and Big In America with Thebigbadwolf the other chance at big odds.

Looking at race seven over the longer 2,100 metres and here the main chances are Pretty Foxy from Bally Barfly, Barkway Bill and Point Danger in what looks like the hardest race of the night.

The final event on the program, race eight will be for the three-year-old pacers over 2,100 metres and Amanda Turnbull should sent patrons home in a happy mood with the strong chance of Lucy Rose taking home the money in the last.

The dangers are Siotada, Jackeroo Shannon and possibly In Her Memory for Trevor White and Cameron Hart but which ever way it goes, the final race should provide enough excitement for those hardy souls who remain for the running of the final race at 8:54 pm.
