Well, guess what? We're nearly at the end of the season, and like me I’m sure its gone way to quick. For our little Pickers this is their last home game of the year. We are off to Junee next weekend (August 5/6) and the following weekend (August 12) all our competitive teams will play the first round of finals while on the Sunday, August 13, we will have Town Comp Grand Final day. This is always a great day and we need to get to training and keep this day clear so we have a great turn out and all teams get good numbers to make a great contest. This weekend is the last round of the Town Comp round robin with these scores going towards who plays in the main and consolation finals.
At Keith Cullen Oval on Saturday we will be playing Harden/Boorowa and we will also be hosting our fine people from the Emergency Services, who will be giving out showbags, running an obstacle course, showing kids through their vehicles and there will also be a tug-a-war on the main field at 9.45 amongst other great things. It is always a great atmosphere and friendly 'rivalry' between our clubs and they are always tough to beat so we'll need to bring our A-games.
Could all trophies from last season pleased be returned this weekend. Its that time of year when we need to get them all back and prepare them to be given out again at our presentation day. So if you have a trophy at home please bring it along Saturday or if not playing Saturday bring to training this week.
