The Keith Simmons Engineering August Monthly Medal was played at Young Golf Club last Saturday with Bill Oliver taking out the A-grade competition.

There were 44 players who took part in the monthly competition with Oliver winning on 71 nett as well as taking out the Elite Scratch with 74 off the stick.
In B grade Konah Miller won the B grade medal with 67 nett and 82 scratch won him the Elite scratch.
In C grade Charles Collingwood-Boots won the medal with 65 nett. The C grade elite winner was Michael Slater with a scratch score of 91.
Next Saturday the American Foursomes men’s event will be sponsored by Alan Wilder and Wilders Bakery.
The Young Golf Club will be conducting a controlled multiple burn of fallen timber on Tuesday August 15 from 7.00 am. The burn will be supervised by members of the local fire brigade and there may be some smoke attached to this activity. It is hoped that the smoke will not interfere with surrounding residents.
