This Sunday Keith Cullen Oval and Hall Brothers Oval will be the places to be to watch the best of the best of the SIRU junior players in action.
Kick off for the first match will take place from 9 am with the girls playing on Keith Cullen and the boys playing off on Hall Brothers Oval.
After eight weeks of galas the season is beginning to wrap up for the players with many eager to show how much they have improved and grown not only individually but as a team as well. There will be 21 games played this Sunday for the SIRU finals in Young with teams travelling from Griffith, Leeton, Temora, Tumut, Cootamundra, Hay, Wagga Wagga and Albury.
“The weather looks like it will be on our side with a beautiful day and top of 17, great for the spectators,” Young Junior Rugby Union’s Sos Waddell said.
“It is a great day for Junior Rugby in Young as there will be in excess of 500 players and supporters in town for the day. This is wonderful to see that sport for the younger population is alive and well in small towns and hopefully well supported by the locals.”
Young Junior Rugby Union is well represented in the finals with seven teams competing for a place in the grand final.
