A 22-year-old man was airlifted to Orange Base Hospital on Wednesday after a single vehicle car accident near Iandra Castle.

According to paramedics on the scene the 22-year-old male suffered chest injuries and a fractured femur when the car collided with a tree.
The man was treated on the scene before being air lifted to Orange Base Hospital by helicopter.
The 22-year old female driver of the vehicle was also treated at the scene and taken by road to Young District Hospital.
The female driver was later released from hospital.
According to police about 11.30 Wednesday morning the car was overtaking a slow truck and lost control before it collided with a tree.
Police said the crash investigation unit were investigating the incident that occurred on the Monteagle Stock Route Road at Iandra.
The road was closed for several hours as police investigated the crash site.
