Young Golf Club hosted the mens Geoff Hill NRL Challenge on Saturday with Ian Tierney picking up the win. Tierney took out the single stableford on 38 points with Paul Bilzzard coming in a close second on 37 and John Connell similarly close on 36 points on a countback. On Saturday the men’s event at the golf club was sponsored by Geoff Hill.

Mixed foursomes championships
On Sunday Young Golf Club held the mixed foursomes championships which was won by James and Christabel French. The French’s took out the 27 hole event from Liz Harding and James Glasheen.

The handicap portion of the event was won by Ian Tierney and Penny Greaves from Mick and Annette Alexander.

A note from Bill on the greens
Just a little more warm weather and the greens will be back to their very best, we thank all players for their patience. At this time of the year the greens need to be renovated to ensure the best putting surface possible.
Daylight savings team competition
Now is the time to organise a team for the daylight savings teams competition which will start in early October. Teams of up to five players with the three best scores counting each week. Full details will be available from Bryce in the pro-shop by next weekend.
