Young took on Cowra’s champions from the Young Carnival and unfortunately lost.
The boys were a bit sleepy and cold, the highlight being a Josh Cameron penalty outside the box to lift Young’s spirits.
Fast forward to two hours later and they had thawed out and played an awesome game against a well drilled Gungahlin outfit.
The team looked strong with the dynamic Oscar Taylor in goal well supported by Billy Brown and Jackson Riley who saw action aplenty in the backs.
Brilliant combination play by Lucas Maloney set up Toby Dowling for two spectacular goals to stun the opposition.
Young’s terrific defence by Cal Holt and Nick Heidtman led to an eventual run out 2-1 winners.
Young went down 2-0 in there last game against Griffith but all in all had a great fun day.
