The short service was conducted by Young RSL sub branch president John Walker.
Mr Walker said it was the 51st anniversary of the battle of Long Tan, but the service was about remembering the 521 men who died in Vietnam and the thousands who were mental of physically injured as a result of the conflict.
"Local veterans were honoured to see the cadets participating in the service, and it was good to see their commitment and presentation," he said.
"It was a cold and wet day, so it was pleasing to see the number of veterans who attended as the day is so meaningful to them.
"All veterans share a common comradeship that has endured through the years."
Mr Walker said the service highlighted the Australian values of tenacity, loyalty, camaraderie, mutual respect and commitment to the task that all Aussies share.
